I used to live in a country house near Recife, northeast of Brazil. I have built at a side of my house a small office/lab where I work most of my time, doing consulting in FPGA design, industrial controllers, and systems programming.
Unfortunatelly, bandits made me change my mind. Now we live in downtown Recife. I've lost my large lab building for a small room in an apartment. The advantages are here is safer, and on the good side I have a good ADSL connection to the net.
I have a friend that takes care of who enter of leave my office. It's name, Dr. Freud, is because of it's pyschopathological behavior. Of course, it did not like penguins, but otherwise is very friendly.
